DMC was founded in 1983 and is the largest DJ organisation in the world. DMC have hosted the prestigious DMC World DJ Championships since 1985 - an event known for discovering some of the world's most talented DJs such as DJ Q-Bert, DJ Craze and A-Trak who went on to become DJ Legends. DMC are offering aspiring and professional DJs the life changing opportunity to participate in the Online DJ Championship where one winner will be eligible to compete at the DMC World Finals in London in 2012 which includes travel and accommodation.
Between February 2012 and August 2012, there will be three heats where DJs will submit a two-minute video showcasing their mixing skills (using any equipment) for the chance to be selected by DMC as one of the finalists of the three rounds. From thereon, 30 finalists (seven DJs per round, as selected by DMC and the three highest voted DJs per round) will proceed to the grand final, a round where they will be required to submit a six-minute video demonstrating their skills and ability. The DMC World Champions will be on the judging panel throughout the three rounds and the final to decide the supreme champion.
