| About GL Wood |
|
GL Wood is a world renowned photographer and artist who is credited for Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday” album cover.
A message from GL Wood: "After college I packed up a car and drove out west to Los Angeles to pursue a career in teaching. While living out west the art of photography fell back into my life, very randomly too. As I was looking at schools for MFAs I mistook one school for another school. The school I thought was a fine arts/graphic design school was actually a photography school. This chance of randomness made me want to take a gamble and pursue photography once more instead of teaching. I had found a new passion, and this passion brought me to New York City.
In a modern era where photography is 90% digital and looking towards the future, I was still a huge fan of the past and their creativity without all the help modern photography has today. A lot of people have told me I have a certain style, to me I believe I have no defined style. I love to create stories and images with new and old techniques. I accept the future but can't leave the past behind. Love what you do and stay true to your vision."
