Bio Hailed by El Universo after his first South America tour as “gifted with the subtlety and the power of the very great ones”, and described by La Voce as “one of the greatest Italian talents of his generation”, Daniele Rinaldo was born in Padova in 1984; he has already appeared in major venues and festivals such as NYCA “Rising Stars” in New York, Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia at Parco della Musica Auditorium in Rome, Festival Dino Ciani in Cortina d’Ampezzo, “Great Interpreters” in the Bologna Festival, William Walton Festival in Ischia, Festival Busoni in Bolzano, Yamaha Artists’ Series in Paris, Mozarteum Festival at the Wiener Saal in Salzburg and Hamamatsu Piano Festival in Japan; he performed extensively in Europe, USA, South America and Asia, as soloist and with symphonic orchestras such as New York Chamber Orchesra, Manhattan Symphony Orchestra, University of London Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana, Orquesta Nacional de l’Ecuador, Filarmonia Veneta, Bacau State Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice and Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, under the baton of conductors such as Kurt Masur, Ken-David Masur, Daniel Capps, Howard Shelley, Ovidiu Balan and Damian Iorio.

His debut as soloist was in 2002 with the Pollini Symphony Orchestra, playing Beethoven's 3rd concerto at Padova's Teatro Verdi, receiving great critical and audience acclaim; in 2003 he recorded concertos by Bach, Beethoven and Ravel (National Arts) and in 2005 he recorded "Americanizada" (Velut Luna), with works for two pianos by Barber, Bennett, Copland, Piazzolla and Milhaud. He won prizes such as the prestigious Audience and Critics’ prize at the 2010 Bologna Festival, prizewinner in the international competitions in Padova (2nd prize), Venezia (4th), Firenze (1st, audience prize and Beethoven prize), Sansepolcro (1st); winner of the "New Talents' Series" in Cittadella (2003); 2nd prize at the "Ennio Porrino" International Piano Competition (Cagliari); medalist of the 2008 “Maria Canals” International Piano Competition in Barcelona; finalist of the 2009 International Piano Competition “Ferruccio Busoni” in Bolzano. In 2011 he received the William Mattlin Prize at the Cleveland International Piano Competition and recently was the recipient of the Tunnell Trust Music Award.

He received his musical education in 1998 and 1999 at New England Conservatory in Boston (USA) studying with Sergej Schepkin and subsequently at the "C. Pollini" State Conservatory in Padova with Ines Scarlino, where he graduated cum laude in 2003 in piano and composition. In 2006 he graduated with the highest marks from the Accademia Nazionale S.Cecilia in Rome in Sergio Perticaroli's class, and graduated cum laude in Mathematical Economics at the Padova University, receiving a special laude for his final thesis in Applied Mathematics. He then pursued private studies in Madrid with Claudio Martinez Mehner, and since 2009 is based in London, where he recently obtained the Master of Arts at the Royal Academy of Music in London studying with Prof. Christopher Elton, where he was awarded the Alfred Knight Prize and was supported by the Clemence Trust and the CARIPARO Trust. He also worked closely with artists such as Andràs Schiff, Dimitri Bashkirov, Michael Roll, Aldo Ciccolini, Matti Raekallio, Michael Dussek, and Howard Shelley, who in 2006 invited him to play under his baton for Mozart’s 250th Anniversary in a concert tour throughout Italy.

Future engagements are recitals in Chicago, London, throughout Italy as well as in Spain, Lithuania and Austria, and another South America tour with a DVD production, Prokofiev 2nd concerto in Cadogan Hall in London and the recording of the complete Beethoven concertos with ULSO.
