"interactions" By Myrrhe Van Spronsen
In my work I zero in on representing expressive human-like figures. The “shapes’ are dancing and floathing with intense dynamic in the space of the tableau. I find my inpiration by artists like E. Munch and Cobra. I was born in ‘1981, grew up in an artistic envirement and was educated at the “Gooise Academic” in Laren where I had lessons from I. Kusmirak. Now, several exhibitons are on my name. In ‘1999 I won the first prize for “Graphic and Poetry” of the Singer Museum. In 2006 I became winner of the “Zilveren Kei”, the Art-Award for young talent. The jury described my work as follows: “Myrrhe’s paintings, is very interesting material for art-historians. Here work is unique, characteristic and consequent. In her Black-and-White paintings she developped a beautifull and innate contemporary handwriting. At the same time she opens up other paths resulting in powerful marvellous paintings. ”In september 2009 my work went to New-York in the scope of the New Island Festival.
