Talenthouse

"Repel" focuses on the figure and garments, and how they react to the light. Each of the garments propose a contrast between the harshness of the materials versus the soft, feminine form. The audio track (made by banging bamboo stems) creates a sharp, painful, yet, consistently changing beat. The costumes were hand-sewn and crafted by the film artist- using screws/nails, electric tape, insect screening, rope, and muslin.
