"UNRELATED CONCEPTS" von Giannis Tsaganos
This is an artwork which reflects the aggravated assault of war and integration of war in the fashion world. War means barbarity, whereas fashion is a depiction of society, its mirror. Can these two co-exist? No, they cannot. But there is a relation between the two. The camouflage design of war aims at the soldiers being able to hide themselves either for reasons of defence or attack. This particular design has been part of fashion, implying that fashion victims desire to hide themselves. They aim at showing a self which is different from their real one. They hide behind the fashionable and flashy clothes. Thus, the ferociousness of war has become part of a fashion show. We have come to the point of setting the war fashion without realizing the violence of it.
