Design artwork for Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock
"Fraggle Rocks Celebrates The Big 3-0!" By Sheila Cicchi
ABOUT THE DESIGN: I gathered Ma, Pa and Jr. Gorg, Sprocket, Trash Heap Marjory and Red, Boober, Gobo, Wembley, Mokey and Uncle Traveling Matt who has a postcard that says "Happy 30." I then included 6 Doozers who grew two big radishes and carved "3" and "0" on them in celebration of the anniversary.
ABOUT THE TECHNIQUE: I use Paint Shop Pro. So I literally draw and paint with a mouse electronically. Each character and element was individually drawn and painted and then layered in. The original design exceeded the 5 mb limit so I had to crop it down for submission purposes. But, the design consists of over 20 layers that were merged.
I also do not have a Facebook page, so I have to rely on close friends and the kindness of strangers for votes. ;)
This was a challenge (took me 3 weeks) but lots of fun.
