I’ve incorporated some familiar elements from Green Day’s past, (Dookie’s explosion, American Idiot’s heart grenade, the spray elements from 21st Century Breakdown) into my own style of illustration.

The colors of iUno!, iDos! and iTre’! are used, as to keep it consistent with Green Day’s current branding. The illustration is geared to immediately grab your attention, say what it has to say loudly and without respite, and then keep you looking through it for more, hopefully in a similar style akin to the music of Green Day.

The symbolism from the the crown above the boys is inspired from their “King for a Day” live performances, but is meant to lean towards the notion that at this point, Billie-Joe, Mike and Tre’ are kings of their game forever.
