Using various synthesizers and effects, I came up with a fully different and original remix version of the song by Serj Tankian. Some effects such as auto-wah and fuzz were applied to the different guitars throughout the tune, without changing the heavy feel that these gave to the music originally. Though I kept the original guitar and voice clips, I recoded different drum set parts so that I could get a feel that resembled the intensity of the 16th notes in Drum n' Bass as well as the power of Metal. All the bass lines of the original, except of the ones from the bridge, were also suppressed from the tune to make way for much heavier and imposing bass lines, giving the downbeat of each measure more importance, as well as keeping the catchy aspect of syncopation. The main Chorus and the bridge is accompanied by some extra back up vocals, which I recorded to make the transition from section to section smoothly and to give a warmer sound to the mix.
