Talenthouse

I wanted to use the image that Robert Smith has maintained for many years and become synonymous with and the use the format we were given to design with to try and express this dominant factor of the appearance of The Cure. There is a cutout in the sleeve of a silhouette of Robert Smith (which I illustrated) with the hair and eyes appearing over the black of the vinyl and the lips appearing over a red label on the centre of the vinyl. There is nothing printed on the sleeve and the image all comes from the sleeve having the cutout and the colour of the vinyl and label.

I have tried to illustrate the idea here by drawing lines over the black of the hair to demonstrate the vinyl.
