Tom Ford is an iconic fashion designer responsible for establishing the highly successful Tom Ford label and widely recognized for his previous creative direction at Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. Ford also directed, produced and co-wrote his first feature film entitled 'A Single Man'.
About Evan Bernard
Evan Bernard is a commercial and music video director and has directed videos for artists including Robbie Williams, Moby, Green Day and has worked on commercials for Nike, Footlocker, McDonalds, MasterCard, Playstation and ESPN X Games. GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network) is a national educational organization working to ensure schools are safe and respectful for all students regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. GLSEN and the Ad Council launched the "Think Before You Speak" campaign to educate straight teens about the prevalence and consequences of anti-LGBT bias and behavior in America’s schools. To date, the campaign has included TV, radio, print and online ads featuring Hilary Duff, Wanda Sykes and NBA Phoenix Suns’ players Grant Hill and Jared Dudley.
GLSEN and the Ad Council are inviting artists to submit a public service announcement that reflects and encourages the theme of “Think Before You Speak.” Submissions will be judged by Brett Ratner, Tom Ford and Evan Bernard. The winner of the PSA competition will receive an award presented by Brett Ratner at GLSEN’s Respect Awards in Los Angeles.
Hosts' Choice
One winner will be selected by GLSEN, the Ad Council, Brett Ratner, Tom Ford and Evan Bernard. The winner will travel to Los Angeles where they will be honored at GLSEN’s Respect Awards and presented with an award by Brett Ratner. Airfare and accommodations to be provided by Brett Ratner. The winning recipient will also receive an honorable mention from Brett Ratner and exposure on his social media channels.
One runner-up selected by GLSEN will receive an honorable mention from Brett Ratner and will have their submission featured on his social media channels.
People's Choice
The highest voted artist will receive an honorable mention from Brett Ratner and will have their submission featured on his social media channels.

How The Winner Will Be Chosen
GLSEN, The Ad Council, Brett Ratner, Tom Ford and Evan Bernard will choose the winner from all qualified submissions with special consideration for the top voted entries. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.
Guidelines
- Participants must submit a video, no longer than 30 seconds in length
- Videos MUST include the GLSEN and The Ad Council logos, as provided from the selection below
- Videos must NOT include the following: music, swearing, offensive behavior or logos other than the GLSEN and The Ad Council logos
- Submissions must be comprised of the participant's original material (i.e. the participant cannot use or incorporate third-party copyright protected content/material(s), or any other content/material that infringes on the rights of any third-party, in whole or in part, in their submission)
- Videos are encouraged to be submitted in the highest quality and may be uploaded in HD
- Participants may either record their video using their feature below OR they may submit a video using a Vimeo or YouTube URL. If videos are submitted using a Vimeo or YouTube URL, they must be uploaded at least 48 hours prior to the submission deadline
Official Rules
- Winners will be required to enter into a written license agreement with GLSEN regarding their submissions
- Cash substitutions will not be provided in lieu of prizes
- If selected, usage rights must be secured for all talent and content included and signed releases must be provided to GLSEN
