Bio
I've been successfully selling and working as an artist for about 20 years. I started out as a neon sculptor and then got into metal work. I combined the two, and had a lot of success in the Bay area art scene as well as in the Open studios scene. I've sold a lot of work through galleries but the majority of my work in the last five years or so have been from getting commissions from private collectors.
I take pride in what I do, and as far as I am concerned, the sky is the limit in terms of what I can and will make. I like the fact that people buy my work for their homes, and live happily with it. I create a lot of figurative work , and lately have been working on a body of work addressing issues having to do with nature, organic life forms and ecology. In other words, the simple beauty of say, a fern.
I owe a great debt to all the artist who have lived before me, as they have paved the way for me to listen to my muse and do the work I was born to do. I use an incredible and ridiculous number of power tools (including my beloved plasma torch) but I like to clean up nicely after shaking the metal dust off myself and I like to get out and talk about art too.
