Biografía After graduating from Kean University of NJ with a Fine Arts degree, B.J. Lloyd taught art for awhile, created the art for many album/CD covers, and opened her own public relations company. Now a full-time working artist, she creates in Mixed Media, Collage, Digital Art, Digital Photography, Acrylics, Assemblages and whatever else strikes her fancy. Her work has been exhibited in the Ceres Gallery’ Chelsea, NYC; the Artists Haven Gallery, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Upstream People Gallery, American Juried Art Salon Show, Museum of Computer Art, Brooklyn, NY; Los Angeles Center for Digital Art; Art Kudos Juried Competition and more. Awards include 2nd Place in the Art Buzz Graphics Competition, four “Special Recognition\" Awards from Upstream People Gallery Juried Exhibitions, and a Body-of-Work Award from Mosaic Globe. Her work has also been published in the Art Buzz Collection 2009. B.J. Lloyd is represented by Ovenden Contemporary Ltd. in Cambridgeshire, UK & the Mac Worthington Gallery in Ohio. Influencias In terms of artist styles, I appreciate the many faces of café society as painted by Toulouse Lautrec, the brilliant colors of Henri Matisse’s to-heck-with-perspective paintings, Paul Klee’s playful compositions and the infectious whimsy, Salvatore Dali's surreal mysteries and colors of Marc Chagal. I feel the influence of all these artists in my work.
