Talenthouse

My artwork takes a manifestation of my upbringing, aspirations and goals as a “Generation Y” kid. Growing up in a cosmopolitan Singapore, influences are diverse and cultures converge. I embraced this random juxtaposition of cultures and ideas. Aspiring to be a multi disciplinary artist, I'm always striving to create distinctive visuals that fuses various influences and design communication. I deconstruct the “American Dream” or capitalism for that matter into pieces of visual arts, be it painting, photo collages or installation art. The inspiration comes from my interest of mass consumerism and the pursuit of creating art pieces that is relate-able as well as being technically, visually pleasing.

Ben grew up watching Sunday morning cartoons, Anime and spends most of his time reading Manga or spreading the centerfolds of pin up magazines. This random juxtaposition of influences and visual feast is reflective in Ben's contemporary art.
