Bio
Born in 1988, AyseDeniz started taking piano lessons at the age of five. She made her concerto debut when she was nine, with Gordion Chamber Orchestra playing J.S. Bach’s Keyboard Concerto No. 5. At thirteen, she had already performed Mozart No.21 and No.23, Chopin No.2, Beethoven No.2 and Prokofiev No.1 concertos with various orchestras under conductors including Ibrahim Yazici, Fahrettin Kerimov, Antonio Pirolli, Cem Mansur, Engin Sakpinar, Ertug Korkmaz, Rengim Gokmen, Vladimir Sirenko, and Kirill Karabits.
AyseDeniz won diploma prize at Vladimir Horowitz International Piano Competition in 1999, after which she was invited to perform at the opening concert of Kiev Summer Music Evenings Festival, as well as in a recital tour in Greece with three other laureates. The following year, she was selected to represent Turkey in EBU Grand Prix in Norway. She then gave recitals to raise money for schools and charities, including ANACEV (Anatolian Modern Education Foundation). In 2000, she went to Spain for a semester when Rosalyn Tureck invited AyseDeniz to study with her. During summers 2001-2007 she attended prestigious festivals in Switzerland, USA, Israel, Spain, and Germany including Verbier Academy; Music Academy of the West, Aspen Music Festival and School, PianoTexas, Goslar Konzerterbeitswochen, and Tel-Hai, studying with renowned piano pedagogues such as Menahem Pressler, Jerome Lowenthal, Arie Vardi, and Yoheved Kalpinsky.
In 2007, she performed Rachmaninoff’s ‘Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini’ with Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, and an 'all - Chopin' recital in Kremlin Palace, Moscow, after being invited by Nikolai Petrov. In 2008 she was in Izmir, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.20 in D minor, Op.466 with DESO.
In order to communicate more with audiences, AyseDeniz began giving solo recitals in the form of lectures and interactive talks. Her first performance took place in November 2008, in Albert Long Hall, Istanbul. Her future concerts will have similar forms of innovation.
AyseDeniz has appeared on CNN Turk, NTV, TRT and other television channels, as well as in various radio programs, most recently in MaxFM (2009).
Besides her solo appearances, AyseDeniz also performs with chamber groups. Her past coaches include the Ying Quartet, Gabor Takacs Nagy, and Menahem Pressler.
In May 2009, Aysedeniz completed her Bachelor of Music Degree at Eastman School of Music, in the studio of Douglas Humpherys, receiving the prestigious Howard Hanson, and Clements Scholarships as well as the John Celentano Excellence in Chamber Music Award. She has also received the Maud Hornsby Award from Royal Academy of Music, where she is currently pursuing a Master of Music Degreea in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Christopher Elton.
She recently performed Schumann’s A Minor Piano Concerto with Presidential Symphony Orchestra in Ankara (January 2010), and her future engagements include performing an ‘all-Chopin’ Recital at the Japanese Consulate in Ankara (March 2010) as well as the 38th International Istanbul Music Festival (June 2010).
