Bio
Audiobuddha was started back in 2005 with a 8-track recorder, a drum machine, a synth and the musical mind of Steve Brisk. In 2007 Steve meet Nathaniel, a wonderfully skilled and amazing violinist and asked him to join AudioBuddha. Soon after that Nathaniel introduced Ishtar and she added her voice to the collective. Through steady gigging and a deep respect for the audience, AudioBuddha gained a reputation as a great live electronic / live acoustic band that not only entertained but but brought a spiritual aspect not often seen in live performance.
In June of 2008, AudioBuddha released its first CD, Alchemystical, to great reviews and local and internet sales. The CD is a fine balance of electronica, live violin and Ishtar's fluid vocals. It also a sonic representation of Audiobuddha's core philosophies of environmentalism, earth-centered feminism and social justice.
Ishtar left AudioBuddha in December of 2008 to continue her artistic studies and travels around the world. AudioBuddha continued through early 2009 as a live P.A. duo with Nathaniel and Steve. Nathaniel left amicably in March of 2009 to further his studies in folk and gypsy music.
AudioBuddha is now full circle, back to a solo project of Steve Brisk. Steve is now in the process of expanding AudioBuddha performances into DJ'ing (specializing in Trance, Progressive House, Dub and Dubstep) as well as solo electronic performances. Steve is currently producing the second AudioBuddha CD.
